Calling people directly to help them quit the CCP
For several years Tuidang volunteers and Falun Dafa Practitioners in my area used to send automated messages using cell phones, to tell people about the persecution of Falun Dafa and Tuidang. A lot of people listened to the three-minute message, but not many quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations. This told me that direct communication was needed to help people truly understand the truth and quit the CCP.
It was not easy to adjust to direct communication. When someone answered the phone, I got nervous and the person hung up after I said a few sentences and refused to answer the phone when I called back.
Initially, we could only persuade one person to quit the CCP during the first hour. We encouraged each other and read articles about how other people have learned to make these types of phone calls. Soon, more people agreed to quit the CCP. As we gained experience, our efforts bore fruit.
Letting Go of Fear
During one phone call, the person asked me for my personal information and recorded our conversation. He even berated and threatened me before he hung up. I felt fear in my heart. Reminding myself of the principles I learned as a Falun Dafa practitioner helped me overcome my fear. Although I was still felt the fear, I made phone calls the next day. Later, I could calmly tell the truth to officers in the public security departments.
Police Officer Quits the CCP
In another phone call, a man claimed not to be a CCP member, then reversed himself after we talked for a while. He admitted to being a police officer, and that he had joined the CCP and its two affiliated organizations.
“Your work is either in a police station or in the security bureau,” I said, “whichever is your job, your life is your own. The CCP is doomed… so you must quit if you do not want to be implicated in the CCP’s crimes against humanity.”
He admitted that he and his colleagues knew that Falun Dafa was good. However, they also had some misunderstandings. This spurred me to elaborate about the goodness of the practice. He then agreed to withdraw from his CCP memberships, and in the end, thanked me for helping him get a clearer understanding of Falun Dafa.
Mandarin is my first spoken language, but it created a problem when I talked to people from Guangdong. They hung up when I spoke Mandarin. So I learned Cantonese. This helped me greatly!
